Alumni Association looking for campus participation in Back 2 Bellingham 2011
More than 1,500 alumni, parents, students and community members from 17 states and three countries attended the inaugural Back 2 Bellingham Alumni and Family Weekend in 2010, and the Western Washington University Alumni Association is seeking help in making the Back 2 Bellingham Alumni and Family Weekend in 2011 even better.
Back 2 Bellingham is a unique opportunity to showcase to the university's biggest supporters -- alumni, parents and the local community -- the unparalleled education and experience 草榴社区 offers students. If you work for an academic department or a student group on campus and would like to participate in this university-wide open house, please contact Chris Roselli in the Western Alumni Association by Dec. 1.
Among other things, departments are invited to:
- host a reunion for your alumni (if you already do one, this is the ideal weekend for it!)
- host a networking reception for alumni and students to connect
- offer academic sessions, workshops or lectures for our guests
- host an open house showcasing student and faculty research
The Back 2 Bellingham Weekend offers more than 100 education and recreational offerings, such as:
- Academic lectures from Western’s spectacular faculty
- Reunions for colleges, departments, programs, and student organizations
- The B2B Celebration in Wilson Library
- Live entertainment across campus all weekend
- Cruises on the bay, sea kayaking, and more
- Planetarium shows
- Partnerships with local businesses celebrating the weekend
- Keynote speakers
Plus, it’s one of the biggest student weekends of the year, with more than 2,000 students participating in Relay For Life, The EndFair Music Festival, the Lowrider Show and more.
