Annual Munro Seminars set for Oct. 27-28

The annual Munro Seminars, hosted by Western's Ralph Munro Institute for Civic Education, will be held online on Oct. 27 and 28. The keynote of this year's seminars, will feature Alasdair Roberts of UMass Amherst and Kyle Harper of the University of Oklahoma, be moderated by Western's Vernon Johnson, and will run from 3:30-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

A pair of online panel discussions on Wednesday will round out the seminars; click the links to connect:

Since 1986, Western's Political Science Department has hosted seminars on civic education for students, educators and the community at large.  Over the years speakers have included academics, elected officials, policy experts and community activists as well as representatives from business and nonprofits who join together around common themes to explore the role of civic education and civic engagement in the wider community.  For more information on the Munro Institute for Civic Education, contact Vernon Johnson, program director for the institute.
