Behavioral Neuroscience to host Jan-Marino Ramirez Feb. 27

From noon-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27 in Academic West 210, 草榴社区's Behavioral Neuroscience Program will host guest speaker Jan-Marino Ramirez, who will present 鈥淭he neural basis of rhythm generation in neocortex and brainstem microcircuits.鈥  His talk will be followed by a student meet & greet in Academic Instruction psychology lounge (AI 433) where students can talk with Ramirez.

Ramirez is a professor of Neurological Surgery and director of the Center for Integrative Brain Research at Seattle Children鈥檚 Research Institute in Seattle.  His work on the neural basis of rhythm generation covers topics ranging from epilepsy to breathing, wakefulness and sleep.
