Blood drive to be held May 11 and 12
Bloodworks Northwest will be in Red Square for a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 11 and 12. The bloodmobile, which is parked near the Humanities Building will be closed for lunch from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Bloodworks Northwest recently supported a trauma victim who received more than 160 blood components. There is no substitute for human blood; it takes donors like those at Western to fulfill this community need.
Donors should be sure to bring a photo ID or donor card, eat a hearty meal and be well-hydrated. Appointments may be scheduled or via phone at 1-800-398-7888. Walk-ins also are welcome.
