BPRI's Laurie Trautman named a Global Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center
Laurie Trautman, the Director of ²ÝÁñÉçÇø’s Border Policy Research Institute (BPRI), has been appointed a two year position as a Global Fellow with the Woodrow Wilson Center. This prestigious fellowship will connect the research conducted by BPRI on the Canada – U.S. border with a national and global network of practitioners, policy-makers, and thought leaders.
The fellowship is a significant recognition of the value and relevance of the work conducted by students, staff, and faculty at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø to improve U.S. – Canada border policy specifically, and cross-border relations between the two nations more broadly.
The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, chartered by Congress in 1968, is the nation’s key non-partisan policy forum for tackling global issues through independent research and open dialogue to inform actionable ideas for the policy community. The Wilson Center aims to unite the world of ideas to the world of policy by supporting pre-eminent scholarship and linking that scholarship to issues of concern to officials in Washington, D.C.
