Campus holiday party is today

Western Washington University President Bruce Shepard and his wife, Cyndie, are inviting 草榴社区 faculty and staff to the annual holiday celebration from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room.

In keeping with this year’s theme, “A Season of Giving,” the event will feature a 50/50 drawing, with half of the proceeds benefiting the 草榴社区 Employee Distinguished Scholarship and the other half going to the winning ticket holder. Tickets, at $1 each, will be sold at the event. In addition, a food drive to benefit the Bellingham Food Bank will be held. Donations should include only non-perishable foods.

Dance performances by the Associated Students Ritmo Latino (Latin Rhythm) Cub will be held at 4 p.m., and at 4:30 p.m., the AS Swing Kids will perform.

Parking enforcement will be suspended campus-wide during this event so employees can carpool to main campus and park. The suspension is not valid for reserved, handicapped or metered parking spaces.

Advance notice at (360) 650-7545 is appreciated for ADA accommodations.
