Campus police to offer violence prevention training June 1
Though they're not common, incidents of violence on a university campus always are a possibility. Knowing what behaviors are cause for concern and how to react when violence occurs could mean the difference between safety and serious injury.
Western Washington University campus police will offer a free violence prevention training in June for those in the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø community.
Roughly 80 percent of all individuals committing acts of violence on campuses provided some signal ahead of time that they might become violent. This traning session will alert attendees to behaviors of concern, what to look for and how to notify Western's Safety Assessment Team.
The sessions will be held at the following date and location, and is limited to 35 participants each:
