CBE dean candidate interviews take place through March 11

[ Editor's note: Saonee Sarker, one of the candidates for the Dean of CBE position, has withdrawn from further consideration.   Interview sessions with Dr. Sarker on March 1 and 2 have been canceled. Marc Chopin interviewed on campus on Feb. 25 and 26.  Further finalist interview plans for Scott Young (March 7 and 8) and Sandra Richtermeyer (March 10 and 11) remain unchanged. ]

Provost Carbajal is pleased to announce that the Dean of the College of Business and Economics Search Committee has concluded its review and evaluation of the applications and has selected four strongly qualified candidates to invite to campus for interviews beginning February 25.  Information about the finalists is listed below, along with the schedule for forums open to the campus community.   The finalists’ curriculum vitae are available for review – please contact Bev Jones in the Provost’s Office.  This is an important university-wide leadership position and Provost Carbajal encourages active participation by the campus community.

Feb. 25 and 26:

  • Marc Chopin, Professor, The W. A. Franke College of Business, Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona.
  •  A university-wide open forum presentation is scheduled at 4 p.m. Feb. 25 in PH 441.

March 7 and 8:

  • Scott Young, Chair, Department of Management, Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois.
  • A university-wide open forum presentation is scheduled at 4 p.m. Mar. 7 in PH 441.

Mar. 10 and 11:

  • Sandra Richtermeyer, Associate Dean, Williams College of Business, Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio.
  •  A university-wide open forum presentation is scheduled at 4 p.m. Mar. 10 in PH 441.
