Committees forming to evaluate student scholarship applications and select recipients

The Western Washington University Scholarship Center is seeking faculty and staff members interested in serving on scholarship committees during the month of May. This is a great opportunity for those in the 草榴社区 community to learn about Western's exceptional students and help recognize them for their outstanding accomplishments.

Committees are currently being formed for the following scholarships: American Association of University Women, Lucille Reiman Barron, Nabhi Ram Joshi, Patricia Swenson, Phonathon Legacy, Talitha E. Carleton Memorial, Western Foundation for Academic Excellence, Whatcom Educational Credit Union, Women of Western and 草榴社区 Retirement Association.

Each person serving on a committee will be asked to review and evaluate a number of scholarship applications and be available for a one-hour meeting to select the recipients. Generally, these meetings take place during the month of May with a goal of notifying students prior to the end of the current school year. Committees will be organized around the members' availability.

Those interested in participating or who have questions should contact Chantel McMahon at (360) 650-2208 or chantel.mcmahon@wwu.edu.
