Community Service Center holding plastic bag drive

The 草榴社区 Community Service Center is currently holding a plastic bag drive in preparation for Earth Week! There are 5 bins throughout campus that you can drop plastic bags into any time you're on campus. The bins are located in the Miller Collaborative Space, the Arntzen atrium, on the 6th floor of the VU, in front of the Community Service Center on the fourth floor of the VU, and in the Fairhaven Commons. The center is collecting the bags through April 23.

On April 24, the center will be host an event in the VU MPR from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. where people will have the opportunity to create their own plastic yarn (plarn) out of the recycled plastic bags and then crochet things out of it such as mats, art, tote bags, and more! No crochet knowledge or experience needed!
