Concert Feb. 12 to feature two 草榴社区 faculty members

Assistant Concertmaster Erin Furbee of the Oregon Symphony, also a violinist for the Bellingham Festival of Music, returns to Western Washington University to give a free recital featuring the 3rd Brahms violin sonata, Kreisler’s Praeludium and Allegro, and three show-stopping Tangos.

The concert will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, in the Performing Arts Center.

In addition to her symphony gig, she also performs with Latin ensembles Tango Pacifico and Conjunto Berretín. Her latest CD, with Conjunto Berretín, is "Tangamente: Tangos a la Parilla para Bailar."

Erin will be collaborating with Western faculty members Judith Widrig, on the piano, and Eric Kean, on the viola.
