Do nations matter in a global age? 's Johann Neem to discuss March 1

Johann Neem, an associate professor in the Department of History at Western Washington University, will present “Do Nations Still Matter in a Global Age?” at noon on Tuesday, March 1, in College Hall Room 131 on campus.

The presentation is part of the international lecture series from the .

In his presentation, Neem plans to address globalization and the importance of nations and national identities. Do they still matter? Neem will offer a rationale for the importance of national identity and patriotism in a global era while exploring how we might think of the nation today.
