Draft policy on taking family or medical leave posted for review
The following draft policy is posted for 30-day review: .
This policy applies to all faculty members and staff and covers leave requests related to:
- An employee’s own medical condition
- A medical condition for an eligible family member or significant other
- Maternity and parental related leave (including foster care and adoption)
- Military family leave
- Domestic violence leave
The draft policy was reviewed by groups and individuals across campus and was revised to reflect their input. A 30-day comment period is required prior to the final draft review by the President's Cabinet. The draft policy will be posted from March 25 to April 24; the campus is encouraged to review the document at .
