'Environmental Racism' event to look at problems plaguing marginalized communities
A panel discussion on environmental problems affecting marginalized communities will highlight the Environmental Racism event happening from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, in Academic Instructional Center West Room 204.
Among other environmental effects, marginalized communities are disproportionately affected by noise, water, air and other pollution.
The discussion panel includes聽草榴社区聽political science professor Debra Salazar, rural justice leader Rosalinda聽Guillen and Northwest Indian College academic and career adviser Patrick聽Freeland.
An opportunity for questions will follow the discussion.
