Extended Education Offering Prose-Writing Course to All Skill Levels this Winter

Western Washington University’s Extended Education will offer “Dialogue and Scenic Depiction,” the second course in its Prose Writing at its Best series, to faculty, staff, students, and the community this winter.

Participants will develop and strengthen skills in voice, dialogue, and scene for use in creative writing and have the opportunity to network with local writers and enhance their writing technique in a supportive environment, which includes weekly face-to-face sessions and take-home assignments to inspire new writing.

The seven-week, non-credit course on dialogue and scenic depiction begins Wednesday, Jan. 14 on Western’s campus, and new participants are encouraged to register by the Wednesday, Jan. 7 deadline.

Prose Writing at its Best is instructed by author Laura Kalpakian, winner of the , whose acclaimed writing can be found on her website, .
