Faculty help needed for Nov. 6 Viking Landing event
The Committee on Undergraduate Education at Western Washington University seeks the help of Western faculty for the Nov. 6 Viking Landing: Making the Most of Your GURs event.
GUR faculty can help in two ways:
- Please let students know of the event and tell them it’s an opportunity to meet with academic advisers, GUR faculty and upper-class students to gain advice on how to choose their GURs. They are welcome to drop in any time between 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in the Library's Learning Commons in Wilson Library 283 (next to the Tutoring Center).
- Please consider attending and/or bringing a teaching tip or practice or some project you’re doing in your GUR for an exhibit on “What’s happening in GUR courses.” If you are unable to attend and have something to share, you can send a short write-up (one paragraph or less) to shevell.thibou@wwu.edu with the subject line Viking Landing.
Those faculty who plan to attend the Viking Landing event on Nov. 6 should RSVP with shevell.thibou@wwu.edu.
