Faculty Professional Leave applications due Oct. 15
Section 10 of the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement provides the following information about faculty professional leave:
Professional leave is granted for the purpose of affording faculty members an opportunity to carry forward research, to improve teaching techniques or methods, or to participate in other creative endeavors which by their nature and scope enable individuals to enhance their contributions to the programs of the University
Professional leave applications should be submitted electronically. The electronic faculty professional leave application form and related information is available on the Provost’s webpage at
According to the CBA, completed applications should be submitted by department chairs to the college deans by October 15 and are subsequently due from the deans to the Provost by November 15. Faculty applicants will be notified about decisions concerning professional leave applications by January 31, 2014.
