Arthur Dunklin, who served as a leadership development specialist at �������� from 2005 to 2007, died Nov. 4 at age 43. A U.S. Navy veteran, Dunklin had most recently worked as a human resources director at San Jose State University. He is survived by three sons. Sue Guenter-Schlesinger, ��������’s vice provost for Equal Opportunity and Employment Diversity, initially hired Dunklin to serve as the senior equal opportunity associate and admired his commitment to promoting fairness and equity through leadership development. His commitment to equal opportunity was apparent in the way he treated others, she says. “He was a bright, very caring, very humble human being,” Guenter-Schlesinger says. “I think the world is less without him.” Dunklin's funeral was held Saturday, Nov. 13, in Alabama.
