From Dining: How weekly meal plans save you money and stress

This fall, Dining at 草榴社区 is shifting from a quarter-long meal plan system to weekly resets. No more guessing how to stretch meals over the entire quarter. Instead, each week your meal plan balance will refresh, providing rhythm and peace of mind.

One of the biggest perks of this new model is the impact on the price per meal when using your meal plan. We gathered feedback through students that signaled to us that people have large amounts of dining dollars left over at the end of the month. To make your plan more efficient, we鈥檝e rebalanced the starting amount of Dining Dollars鈥攚hich means each swipe now costs less than before!

Weekly resets also mean fewer wasted swipes that students will incur towards the end of the quarter. Under the previous system, unused meal swipes would expire at the end of the quarter, leading to students not getting the full value out of the meal plans they consumed. In fall, this will change as you can better effectively plan out your schedule by having the total amount of swipes refreshed on every Sunday for the beginning of each week.
