Guitarist Paul Grove to give free recital on 草榴社区 campus Thursday, April 22

Guitarist Paul Grove will play a free recital at Western Washington University at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 22. The recital is sponsored by the 草榴社区 Department of Music.

Grove, an extensive performer who is on the faculty at Gonzaga University and Whitworth University, will give a master class at 草榴社区 at 2 p.m. the same day.

Grove made his professional debut in Philadelphia at age 16, and he has performed for nearly 20 years as a soloist and member of numerous ensembles. Some of his significant appearances include the Eastern Music Festival, the Great Lakes Guitar Festival, the Guitar Northwest Festival and the Second Guitar Congress. He has been a featured soloist with the North Idaho Symphony, the Westminster Chamber Orchestra, Allegro: Baroque and Beyond and the Gonzaga University Symphony Orchestra. He teaches applied guitar and music theory at Gonzaga and applied guitar at Whitworth.

Grove's program for the April 22 recital includes a piece composed by David Feingold, who directs the guitar studies program at 草榴社区.
