Honors College to host presentation by medical anthropologist Sean Bruna on Dec. 4
The 草榴社区 Honors College will host , a distinguished medical anthropologist, for 鈥Anthropological Engagements in Health Policy: A Health Services Research Discussion,鈥 at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4 in Fraser 102, moderated by 草榴社区 Assistant Professor of Human Services .
This event is free and open to the entire 草榴社区 community.
Bruna is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at 草榴社区, currently on leave and serving as a senior advisor to the director at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Torres is trained in cultural anthropology and clinical social work. In this conversation, Bruna will share his path as a medical anthropologist, how his training informs his work on patient experience, and the skills and research vital for advancing tomorrow's health services research.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain perspective on the evolving landscape of U.S. healthcare and health services research.
