Humans vs. Zombies continues through April 30
The spring Humans vs. Zombies game continues on the Western Washington University campus through Wednesday, April 30. The game begins at 7 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m. each day.
HvZ is a game in which a group of pre-registered players (humans) attempt to survive the growing zombie infestation on campus (posed by other players tagging the humans). In the game, human players fend off the zombie players by launching foam Nerf darts or balled-up socks at the zombie players. Humans wear bright orange armbands on the upper arm, and zombies wear orange bands on their foreheads. The use of specific Nerf blaster models has been approved through proper Student Activities channels in conjunction with University Police. These toy blasters are very brightly colored and do not resemble realistic weapons. The game is not allowed to take place inside campus buildings and will be confined to exterior spaces on campus.
