Humans vs. Zombies returns to campus Oct. 19
, a game in which a group of pre-registered players (humans) attempt to survive the growing zombie infestation on campus (posed by other players tagging the humans), returns to the Western Washington University campus beginning Oct. 19.
In the game, human players fend off the zombie players by launching foam Nerf darts at the zombie players. Humans wear bright orange armbands on the upper arm, and zombies wear orange bands on their foreheads. The use of specific Nerf blaster models has been approved through proper Student Activities channels in conjunction with University Police. These toy blasters are very brightly colored and do not resemble realistic weapons. The game is not allowed to take place inside campus buildings and will be confined to exterior spaces on campus.
The game will be played 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 19 to 26. For more information, contact game coordinator Tony Buchanan at (425)241-3821 or wwuhumansvszombies@gmail.com. Contact Buchanan for questions or concerns relating to the game itself. For questions or concerns relating to game approval or policies, contact Viking Union administration at (360) 650-3450.
