We are sad to report that our dear friend and colleague, Paul Struebel, passed away on March 28, 2023. Paul spent over 30 years serving Facilities Management at Western and was an integral part of the sheet metal fabrication shop until his retirement six years ago.

Paul’s wife Sue mentioned that he had “quite a group” of friends here at Western, and that he fabricated the infamous Western Viking Helmet car, which the auto shop recently resurrected into fighting shape. Let’s all take a moment to remember the good times and creativity that Paul brought to Western and take some extra care in supporting our Western family past and present.
