Inslee to talk climate policy with college students Dec. 14

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee  as part of a statewide discussion to recap what happened at COPS21, the climate conference in Paris.

Inslee will be discussing the upcoming release of the clean air rule with college students across Washington in a video chat. Western students will join with those from UW Tacoma, WSU Vancouver, WSU Pullman and UW Seattle. In Paris, Gov. Inslee participated in a panel discussion with other Pacific Coast Collaborative partners about how Pacific coastal states and cities -- driven by an 80-percent reduction target -- are working collectively to meet their reduction commitments and cultivate a more competitive, low carbon economy.

Students are invited to Miller Hall Room 56 at 1 p.m. for a brief on Inslee's policies and background, and then at 1:30 p.m. for an hour-long video call with the governor and other Washington state college students.

Students should RSVP with their name and major to AS.ESP@wwu.edu to reserve a spot.
