Amtrak agent's retirement ends family's railroad legacy
She always believed in the railroad, just like her dad, just like her granddad.
They all worked at the King Street Station, a combined 117 years for the three.
For Marlene Koob, it didn't matter about those years when it seemed like Congress might kill Amtrak.
"You just do your job. You know what you're doing is worthwhile. The passengers riding the train are telling you that," she says.
