Blaine graduate develops exercise app
What were you doing when you were 17? If you were like most American teenagers, you were most likely planning your prom or starting your first job. But Michael Andes is not like most American teens.
Andes, a Blaine High School graduate, started college at Western Washington University through the Running Start program a week after he turned 13. Now, a college senior at 17, and on his way to medical school, he鈥檚 turned his passion for helping others lead healthy lifestyles into a career opportunity. Andes released his workout app 鈥淭hirtyX鈥 for IOS and Android platforms in May.
The workout app took six months to develop, and was based on Andes鈥 experiences with P90X and Insanity, popular extreme workout series. 鈥淚 had done both P90X and Insanity, and while they were great, they were so long it was unsustainable for a busy person,鈥 he said.
