Castle Rock students take summer trip crammed with history and beauty
In Sue Strickland's classroom at Castle Rock High School, there are models of the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower and an artistic rendering of the Latin Quarter.
But to really go to Paris? To be there and see all those things?
OH. MON. DIEU.
This summer, five students abandoned the Rock for the Riviera — and Provence, the Loire Valley and Paris — on a 10-day trip to France.
The trip, which was not school-affiliated, was organized through EF Tours and led by Strickland, who teaches French at the high school, librarian Linda Solberg and the mother of one of the kids.
