Central earns sweep over Western softball
Second baseman Jill McDaniel hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to snap a 4-4 tie as Central Washington University defeated Western Washington University 6-4 to complete a sweep of a Great Northwest Athletic Conference softball doubleheader Thursday, March 28, in Ellensburg.
The Wildcats, who have won four straight and eight of their last nine games, also won the first game 10-2 to improve to 11-10. The Vikings slipped to 14-14 with the losses.
