John Allen's memory serves him well.
It was back when he was a junior at Mountlake Terrace High School that he faltered at the free throw line and cost his team a game.
"I had the front end of a 1-and-1 to seal the game and I missed it; The guy came down and hit a jumper," Allen said. "It just crushed me and I just wasn't going to let that happen again, so I got in the gym and worked on those free throws."
