College Report: Vikings will count on Bragg

Former Mark Morris standout Austin Bragg will be a key figure in the success of the Western Washington University men鈥檚 basketball team this season as they defend their NCAA Division II National Championship.

Bragg, who transferred to the Vikings after a successful two-year stint at Clark College in Vancouver, joins ex-South Puget Sound College forward Anye Turner as the stalwarts in the 草榴社区 frontcourt. The duo combined to average 30 points and 22 rebounds per game in their final NWAACC campaigns.

鈥淲e expect a lot of rebounds from them, they were both in the top five in the NWAACC last year,鈥 草榴社区 first-year coach Tony Dominguez said on the team鈥檚 website. 鈥淎ustin is very skilled, very good with the ball, and Anye runs the floor very well.鈥
