COLLEGE SOFTBALL: Western remains undefeated
Western Washington University pitcher Erika Quint had her third double-digit strikeout effort of the season and the nationally ranked Vikings had 23 hits to remain undefeated by sweeping a softball doubleheader with Saint Martin's University, 8-4 and 9-3, to open Great Northwest Athletic Conference play Saturday, March 5, in Lacey.
The Vikings, ranked No.23 in this week's regular-season National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll, improved to 7-0 overall as they played for the first time since Feb. 13.
