COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Vikings land No. 4 seed, rematch with Alaska-Anchorage
The Vikings won't be home for the entire postseason, but at least they'll have a chance to get some payback.
The Western Washington University women's basketball team was named a No. 4 seed in the West Regional of the NCAA Division II National Tournament on Sunday, March 6, meaning they'll take on No. 5 seeded University of Alaska-Anchorage in the opening round.
The Seawolves defeated the Vikings 68-67 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Tournament championship game on Saturday, March 3, to snap Western's home win streak at 26 games. The Vikings (26-3) also needed a win for a chance to host the West Regional.
