Farm tour highlights Skagit County’s diverse agriculture
An annual farm tour highlights Skagit County's diverse agriculture this weekend, with examples as varied as dairies, vegetable farming, alpaca wool, beef and shellfish.
The Skagit Valley Festival of Family Farms is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 4 and 5, at a dozen locations around the county. It's a free self-guided tour and the participating venues — some of which aren't always open to the public — provide insight into farming and agriculture.
