Granite Falls teacher earns national recognition
Fresh off spring break, students and teachers at Monte Cristo Elementary School on Tuesday thought they were going to be welcomed back during an assembly.
The real reason soon became clear when teacher Debra Howell was called before the entire school and told she is being inducted into the National Teachers Hall of Fame.
