House Democrats release their proposed state budget cuts
House Democrats released their list of proposed cuts on Thursday to deal with a projected $1.1 billion shortfall for the current state budget.
Their caucus web page says the list is preliminary, but notes that their proposal would not eliminate either the state Basic Health Plan or the Disability Lifeline program. Gov. Chris Gregoire's list of proposed cuts would eliminate basic health and largely get rid of Disability Lifeline.
