Lummi announces 2 more positive tests for coronavirus, as Whatcom鈥檚 total rises to 50
The Lummi Public Health Department announced Monday that two additional Lummi community members have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing Whatcom County鈥檚 total cases of the novel coronavirus to 50.
The Lummi said in a release posted to Facebook March 23 that the Nation鈥檚 sixth and seventh cases both live in Whatcom County.
鈥淭he Public Health team is taking immediate steps to identify close contacts and instruct them to self-quarantine and is prepared to offer testing to those that were exposed and experiencing problems,鈥 the release stated. 鈥淭he Public Health Department will also work closely with Whatcom County offices to track any affected individuals.鈥
