or many years now, Raven Borsey has made community building his life’s work. Now, his community is giving back.

Earlier this year, Western Washington University’s department of anthropology gave Borsey its outstanding graduate award for excellence in cultural anthropology.  

According to the �������� website, the award is given out to students who show exemplary extracurricular leadership skills and who make positive impacts on their community. 

“Each year, graduate faculty across ��������’s campuses select a student from each graduate program who best demonstrates excellence in scholarship, professionalism, citizenship, and teaching,” the website reads. “We’d like to congratulate and recognize these graduate students for their outstanding performance during their time at Western.”
