Eowyn Ivey loves to read. And when the Pulitzer Prize nominations were announced in early April, she was eager to get online and see which of her favorite authors had been nominated.
“I was actually waiting that day to see the list come out, never actually thinking The Snow Child would be in the mix, or be considered,” Ivey said. But when she logged into her email, the flood of messages from her publisher revealed the surprise: her very first novel, “The Snow Child,” had been nominated as one of the top novels of 2012.
