Western Washington University's Dylan Goodwin was runner-up in medalist play, helping the Vikings rally for a 10-stroke victory over nationally No.1-ranked Chico State in final-day action Tuesday, March 8, at the Cal State University East Bay Men's Golf Pioneer Shootout held at the Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in Vallejo, Calif.
Western, ranked No. 2 in the Golf Coaches Association of America Golf World/NIKE Golf Top 25, shot 300 for a 54-hole total of 897. Chico State, which held a two-stroke lead over the Vikings after two rounds Monday, finished second at 907 (312) with Sonoma State third at 910 (311) in the 14-team field.
