Police arrest man breaking into �� dorms

Someone called the university’s police just after 2 a.m. Saturday, saying a man was trying doors in Highland Hall to see if he could get in to empty dorms, according to an electronic alert sent out by the university.

The alert said police had booked him into the Whatcom County Jail on suspicion of burglary and theft charges.
