Ed Johanson, the 44-year-old park ranger killed in a car crash Friday night, is remembered for bringing a breathless passion to his work as a ranger, soccer coach and artist.

The Seabeck resident and father of two sons died on Holly Road when his car was struck head-on just before 8 p.m. The Central Kitsap man whose vehicle struck Johanson's car was arrested for vehicular homicide. Kitsap County Sheriff's Office investigators believe he was impaired by narcotics.
