Report finds cross-border traffic steadier in Blaine than other regions

The most striking trend across the U.S.-Canada border since 2000 is a 鈥渟evere reduction in passenger traffic.鈥

That鈥檚 one change outlined in the 鈥淏order Barometer,鈥 a recent report on the U.S./Canada border crossing corridor Western Washington University鈥檚 Border Policy Research Institute was one of the report鈥檚 authors.

The report looks at the three busiest crossing regions: Detroit-Windsor, Buffalo-Niagara Falls, and the 鈥淐ascade Gateway鈥 鈥 the reports name for the Peace Arch and Pacific Highway crossings in Blaine.
