Rotary honors AVID teacher at MVHS
English/AVID teacher Nathaniel Shepherd has been named the Rotary Club & Mount Vernon High School Teacher of the Year for his dedication and commitment to students and the community.
Shepherd began his education at Oregon State University before transferring to Western Washington University, where he met his wife, Raushel. After traveling and finishing his student teaching gig in Valencia, Spain, the couple returned to Washington state. They live and work in Skagit County and are raising their two-year-old son.
