Utility player Kristen Allen, who earned All-America and region all-star honors as a sophomore at Bellevue Community College, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Western Washington University. Making that announcement was Viking head coach Amy Suiter.

Allen received Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America and Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Northern Region all-star recognition this spring. She ranked second among NWAACC batting leaders with a .575 average (65 for 113), while tying for eighth in runs batted in with 47 and tying for ninth in home runs with nine.
