Staying active is the key to aging well
A rolling stone gathers no moss 鈥 it鈥檚 an old adage, but also an adage for the old. Experts agree that elderly people who stay active 鈥 socially, physically and mentally 鈥 age better than those who don鈥檛.
Theresa Taylor, administrator for Emeritus Assisted Living in Bellingham, has seen it first hand.
鈥淚t really is beneficial to stay busy,鈥 she said. 鈥淗aving something to get you out of bed in the morning, something to look forward to, keeps your mood up and your brain working. And it鈥檚 good to keep your brain working because it helps you stay sharp.鈥
