Carl Best, a Lincolnshire native and graduate of Stevenson High School, is finishing up the 2012 Army Reserve’s Best Warrior competition, taking place this week at Fort McCoy, Wis. Essentially the Olympics Games of the Army Reserve, the competition pits 40 soldiers, selected by their superiors from units stationed throughout the country, against each other in marksmanship, map-and-compass navigation, physical fitness, hand-to-hand combat and written tests.
