Susan Marks steps in as director of Bellingham agency against domestic violence
Victims of domestic violence have a passionate new advocate in Bellingham.
Susan Marks, 33, moved to Bellingham in October to become the new director of the 12-year-old Bellingham-Whatcom County Commission Against Domestic Violence.
Marks grew up in Ohio and earned a degree in social work from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She holds a master's degree in sustainable communities from Northern Arizona University. Her experience working to serve victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse covers more than eight years in Flagstaff, Ariz.; Duluth, Minn.; and Sitka, Alaska.
