In the weeks and months that followed the 2012 shooting in a Bremerton classroom, the teacher who rushed to Amina Kocer-Bowman’s side was shaken to the core.

“I can safely say that what happened in the classroom changed my life,” said Natalie Poss, credited with giving lifesaving first aid to the 8-year-old girl. “I just feel so thankful that she survived.”
