Ordinarily, the main draw of the Mirabeau Room, a voguish, retro club in the old Sorry Charlie's space on lower Queen Anne, are the deejays who spin house, hiphop, and soul records in front of a crowded dance floor six nights a week. But tonight, the club has been recommissioned for a more sober purpose: as the site of a fundraiser for Seattle City Council Member Nick Licata, whose support for music, the arts, and progressive policies has won him the staunch backing of many in the city's music scene.
